Plastic surgeons discuss new tech in treatment for burn patients, cosmetic surgery
A two-day conference of plastic surgeons from across North India was held at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College (KCGMC), in which plastic surgeons discussed new technologies in the field of burn, cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and others.
Dr Rakesh Jindal, president of the North India Association of Plastic Surgeons, highlighted the importance of the conference and said surgeons focused on discussing new technologies in plastic surgery and shared their professional experiences during the event.
The conference included several sessions on cosmetic surgery and advancements in treating burn patients. Experts also engaged in in-depth discussions on the treatment of congenital conditions such as cleft lips and palate deformities.
Dr Prashant Tyagi, secretary of the association, along with eminent department heads, including Dr Atul Prashar from PGI-Chandigarh, Dr Kuldeep Singh from PGI-Rohtak, Dr Bhupendra Singh from ESI Medical College, Faridabad, Dr Rajendra Mittal from DMC, Ludhiana, and Dr Pinky from CMC, Ludhiana, shared their insights and expertise.
Renowned plastic surgeons like Dr Ravi Mahajan and Dr Karoon Aggarwal also shared their experiences with the attendees. Dr Nivesh Aggarwal, head of the Surgery Department at KCGMC, said the conference provided a platform for professionals to discuss cutting-edge techniques and exchange ideas to enhance patient care in the field of plastic surgery.
