Platelet costs for dengue to be covered by Rohtak Health Department
Rohtak Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Narendra Kumar has directed the officials concerned to make all necessary arrangements for the prevention of vector-borne diseases such as dengue, chikungunya and malaria in the district in view of the approaching monsoon season.
He also urged residents to follow the precautions suggested by the Health Department, including keeping water pots, tanks and pitchers covered, emptying coolers, flower vases, refrigerator trays and drums once a week, observing a dry day weekly and putting kerosene or larva-killing medicine in stagnant water.
The officer informed that if any resident of the state requires platelets to be administered for dengue treatment, the cost will be borne by the Health Department. The ADC also instructed the officials concerned to expedite the resolution of pending complaints raised at Samadhan camps.
He pointed out that of the 6,503 complaints received at samadhan shivirs held in Rohtak to date, 5,672 complaints have been resolved. The resolution of 120 pending complaints is in progress, while the remaining have either been cancelled or re-opened.
Samadhan camps are being organised at district and sub-division headquarters every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm to facilitate the resolution of residents’ complaints related to various departments under one roof.
