"The jungle safari, which is proposed to be developed on about 10,000 acres in the National Capital Region (NCR), is a dream project of the Prime Minister. A notification regarding the project has been issued and it will be launched after obtaining the requisite permission from the Supreme Court," the minister said while talking to reporters during his visit to the Rohtak zoo on Monday.

He said teams would visit the Vantara sanctuary in Jamnagar and Nasik safari in February to study those projects.

Rao Narbir participated in a ceremony to name four female and three male Asiatic lion cubs at the zoo. He named the female cubs as Diya, Navya, Annu and Chanchal and the male cubs as Chaitanya, Viru and Sanju.

The minister, who was accompanied by ACS (Forests and Wildlife) Vineet Garg, Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, Divisional Forest Officer Sunder Sambharya and local BJP leaders, toured the zoo and planted a sapling on the premises.

Questioned about increasing the forest cover in the state, the minister said the Forest Department officers had been directed to replace 10 per cent trees of kabuli kikar with triveni or other plants in accordance with the local climate and environment.

In response to a query on Delhi elections, Rao Narbir said it seemed that the residents of Delhi had made up their mind to vote the BJP to power.

Regarding the allegations of non-performance of the state BJP regime in 100 days of its formation, the minister remarked that leveling allegations was the job of Opposition leaders. "The people of Haryana have endorsed the policies of the BJP and voted it to power for the third consecutive time in the state," he stated.

Asked about the government's priorities regarding the state budget, the BJP leader said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was holding discussions with the representatives of different groups so as to present a budget beneficial for all sections of society.
