PM Vishwakarma exhibition showcases spirit of skill, innovation, says Kurukshetra varsity V-C

The MSME Development Office, Karnal, organised a two-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair at the Gulzari Lal Nanda Centre, Kurukshetra University.

The two-day event, held from November 29 to 30, aimed to bring traditional artisans, PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, and self-employed professionals onto a common platform to connect directly with customers, buyers, and marketing experts.

Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, said the exhibition was not merely a display of products but a vibrant symbol of skill, innovation, and self-reliance. Emphasising perseverance, he said, “It is the one who moves consistently that ultimately wins the race.”

He urged craftsmen to remain dedicated and continuously upgrade their skills, adding that modern artisans must blend hard work with technology and contemporary marketing practices.

Sanjeev Chawla, Additional Development Commissioner, MSME Development Office, Karnal, elaborated on the PM Vishwakarma scheme and its benefits.

Nanda Centre Director Prof Suchismita informed that Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Kurukshetra, and Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan also showcased their products and services at the exhibition. A total of 100 stalls were provided free of cost to PM Vishwakarma artisans. During the technical session, experts from Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India (New Delhi), including Abhishek, Heera Lal, Rahul Dhingra, Akash, and Deepak Sharma, briefed participants on the support offered by their respective departments.
