PNB organises ‘Snehanjali’ meet for retired members

Punjab National Bank organised a special interaction programme with its retired members under the PNB ‘Snehanjali’ scheme.

Trimurti Shiv Pandey, Circle Head of Punjab National Bank, Circle Office, Karnal, presided as the chief guest.

He extended a warm welcome to retired members, noting that the bond between the bank and its former employees was “not merely official, but emotional and deeply rooted”. He said each retired member carried invaluable experience of 35–40 years, and the primary aim of the PNB ‘Snehanjali’ initiative was to ensure that no retiree faced any difficulty related to banking services.

He added that the bank had launched “PNB Snehanjali, an expression of our affection and respect towards retired members”.

“Under this initiative, life certificates of retired members are being collected on the spot and entered into the system immediately. For those unable to visit the bank, officials will visit their homes to collect the certificates,” Pandey said.

“You are the premium customers of our bank. You nurtured the sapling of PNB for 35–40 years and turned it into a giant banyan tree. Today, we are enjoying the shade and fruits of the tree you helped grow,” he remarked.

He said the experience and guidance of senior members could play an important role in strengthening the bank’s business. He added that all branches would soon receive instructions to provide the best possible services to senior citizens and pensioners. Valuable suggestions from retired members were also invited and would be considered seriously, he said.

Association Circle president Chaman Lal Kaise said all members wished to see Punjab National Bank reach new heights and assured full support in strengthening the bank’s business.

Assistant general manager Ravi Ranjan and district lead manager Parveen Anjanee appreciated the association’s efforts. The programme was attended by association patrons and dignitaries including LS Shrewal, Harjeet Lamba, Chaman Lal, Shashi Kanta, Rekha Jalota, TR Verma, Kusum Banwal, Ramesh Chepa, Sat Pal Panwar, Sat Pal Rohilla, Sushil Gupta, Parveen Kamboj, Krishan Lal Chaudhary, Sohan Lal and Om Prakash.
