BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, claiming that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is a “gift of Congress’s failure”.
“PoK exists today because of the historical blunders and weak policies of the Congress party. It is Congress’s doing,” Badoli told media persons on the sidelines of a party office-bearers’ meeting at the BJP district office, Kamal, on Wednesday. He said the nation was still bearing the consequences of the Congress’s past decisions, which had compromised national integrity and security.
Badoli further alleged that Congress leaders speak in a tone similar to that of terrorists and the Pakistani establishment, accusing them of aligning ideologically with anti-national elements.
“The language used by Congress leaders resembles that of terrorists. Particularly Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders speak the same way the Pakistani government does,” he said.
Criticising the opposition for questioning the armed forces, he added, “It has become the opposition’s mindset to raise doubts about the Army. The BJP thinks about the country, while the opposition only thinks about itself.”
Reacting to a recent remark made by former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, who referred to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as a “dummy CM”, Badoli said Chautala often spoke irresponsibly. Commenting on the current state of the Congress, Badoli said the party no longer had a meaningful organisational presence and had been rejected by the Indian public.
“Congress has become a party of a few families. Some of their own leaders are now waking up and leaving the party. It is no longer a national party, but one that only worships a few families,” he remarked.
Badoli held a meeting with BJP district office-bearers and mandal presidents, describing it as a “festival of organisation” and an opportunity to assign new responsibilities to fresh workers.
He highlighted that the BJP had constituted new committees for all 2,00,629 booths, and that executive bodies had been formed for 370 mandals and 27 district units. “The BJP has become the strongest political organisation in Haryana, due to which the party has formed the government three consecutive times in the state,” he said.
Badoli announced that on August 14, a state-level Partition Horrors Remembrance Day would be held in Faridabad to honour those who migrated from Pakistan during the partition. The event will be chaired by CM Nayab Singh Saini, ministers and MLAs. Tiranga Yatras will also be organised at the district level.
Speaking on employment, Badoli praised the state government for conducting recruitment on the basis of merit, free of corruption or favouritism. “CET exams were conducted in a festival-like atmosphere. The Nayab Singh Saini government provided excellent arrangements and further improvements will be made in upcoming exams,” he said.
