The Haryana Police Academy, in collaboration with the District Red Cross Society, organised a massive blood donation camp on Wednesday as part of the nationwide ‘Samvedna-2’ campaign initiated by the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA). The event set a new benchmark for the campaign with the collection of 1,352 units of blood in a single day — the highest recorded so far under the initiative.

Arshinder Singh Chawla, IPS, Director of the Haryana Police Academy, underscored the deep emotional significance of acts like donating blood and voting for the first time. “These moments remain fixed in one’s memory for a lifetime. Only a person in critical need can truly understand the value of your donated blood,” said Chawla, who also participated in the donation.

Kulbir Malik, Secretary of the District Red Cross Society, lauded the combined efforts of the Haryana Police Academy and NIFAA.

He highlighted that the previous record under the ‘Samvedna’ campaign — 1,256 units of blood collected during a camp in Karnataka in association with Sheshadri College — had now been surpassed by this achievement in Haryana.
