The sealed Delhi borders have started affecting people, who commute to Delhi for jobs and business. Industries, too, have started facing problems with regard to raw materials and dispatching of manufactured goods.

However, the Delhi Police have given relaxation to people by opening two link roads to enter Delhi.

Thousands of people are working in as many as 5,000 industries scattered in Kundli, Rai, Nathupur, Saboli and other surrounding villages.

Farmers in the area are mostly vegetable growers and the sealing of borders has affected the daily supply of their produce to Delhi’s Azadpur market.

A senior official from the Haryana Roadways Department at Sonepat said maximum link roads had been closed by the Delhi Police. About 25 buses used to go to Delhi every day, but now only one or two buses were plying, and it was taking two-three hours to cover a distance of 50 km.

Subhash Gupta, president, Kundli Industrial Association, said many industries received raw material from Punjab. After they met senior officials of the Delhi Police and Sonepat district administration, the police gave a relaxation by opening the link roads — Delhi to Kundli via Singhu village, Delhi to Kundli via Dahisra village, Narela-Safiabad road.
