In Sirsa, a religious event featuring preacher Pandit Pradeep Mishra, scheduled for Friday, has been halted due to the election code violations. The event, organised by the Gopal Kanda family, was set to take place at Tara Baba Kutia in Sirsa from 12 pm to 2 pm. However, after the Setia family filed a complaint with the Election Commission, the event was postponed. The police were also deployed at the venue.

The Setia family accused the Kanda family of using religion to influence voters. Rahul Setia, father of Congress candidate Gokul Setia, claimed that the Kanda family had turned the spiritual site into a political hub. He also pointed out that the Election Code of Conduct is in place, questioning why the authorities allowed the event in the first place.
