Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata has stated that the Haryana Government has launched the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana to provide one marla i.e. 30 square yard plots for Rs 1 lakh in the urban areas of the state to the Antyodaya families having an annual income up to Rs 1.8 lakh.
“Under this scheme, priority is given to families of nomadic communities. Eligible persons can apply for plots under this scheme by depositing Rs 10,000 till April 30,” he maintained.
Khadgata stated that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0, a provision for subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh has also been made for house construction. “A transparent online process of allotment with simple booking and payment options is being adopted through the government website,” the Deputy Commissioner said in a statement issued here today.
He informed that provision of 15,696 plots has been made in 16 cities of the state, including Rohtak, Charkhi Dadri, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Safidon, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Bahadurgarh, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jagadhri, Ambala, Rewari, Karnal, Julana and Jind.
