After Rohtak Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra criticised the Municipal Corporation for not removing the stickers/posters from public places, the Rohtak Municipal Corporation (MC) authorities today removed stickers from the main entrance and walls of Mansarovar Park in Rohtak city.

The decision followed Batra's scathing remarks, made two days ago, accusing the MC of failing to remove stickers and posters from public properties in certain parts of the city, despite imposing penalties on the offenders. He had also threatened to raise the issue with Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal, who had assured in November that cleanliness in cities would be completed within 15 days.

Bhupinder Singh, Joint Commissioner of the MC, visited the park earlier and instructed officials to remove the stickers.

"The cleanliness campaign should be maintained and the city should remain free of such defacement," said Batra.

The issue was brought to public attention through media reports, highlighting the delay in addressing the concern.
