The National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA), a Karnal-based socio-cultural organisation, in collaboration with various social and religious organisations, organised over 1,500 blood donation camps across the country on Tuesday to pay tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Through a video message, President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated this mega blood donation camp, while Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar too attended via videoconferencing from Chandigarh. The President and the CM encouraged the youth to donate blood so that there would be no scarcity.

“On the martyrdom day, the ‘Samvedna’ campaign initiated by the NIFAA is for the welfare of the society. The youth should come forward to donate blood,” said the President in his address. — TNS
