Days after the commencement of winter vacations, the Federation of Private Schools’ Welfare Association has requested the education department to allow the students of Classes X and XII to attend schools in view of board exams in February.

The government had announced vacations from January 1 to 15 in view cold weather conditions. The federation has sent a letter to the Director General, Secondary Education, Haryana, and Chief Minister Nayab Saini to allow the students of the two classes to attend the school.

Federation president Kulbhushan Sharma, said “The board examinations are starting from February 15 and there are students who require extra classes and guidance to prepare for the board examinations. Despite winters, students go to tuitions as well. A number of students, who are financially weak and don’t afford to join tuitions, depend on the school teachers.
