A passing out parade was organised at the quarter guard premises of Haryana Police Academy (HPA), Madhuban, on Friday, marking the completion of the training of probationer sub-inspectors (batch 22) and band recruits (basic course batch 3).

HPA Director AS Chawla was the chief guest at the event. During the ceremony, probationary sub-inspectors and band recruits, having completed their basic training, took an oath to uphold the Constitution and serve the country with sincerity, honesty and impartiality.

Chawla congratulated the families of the passouts, and praised them for encouraging their kin to join the challenging and service-oriented field of law enforcement.

“Wearing the uniform offers countless opportunities to serve society,” he said, exhorting the newly trained recruits to stay committed to their duties.

“Training enhances confidence and lays the foundation for a successful police career,” he added.

He expressed confidence that the new recruits would honour their pledge with dedication, patriotism, and integrity.

“I hope you will meet the expected standards, work with positive energy, and add to the glory of Haryana Police,” Chawla said.

He extended his heartfelt congratulations to all trainees.

Highlighting the importance of a police band, Chawla said, “A band is symbolic of a complete and empowered police force. Its music not only energises personnel physically, but also uplifts them mentally, relieving stress and promoting a sense of national pride and devotion.”

The chief guest felicitated the top three performers of the band recruit batch — constable Jameer Khan secured the first position, constable Sonu stood second, and constable Amit bagged the third spot — with a first-class commendation certificate and a cash prize.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Geetika Jakhar presented the training report, highlighting key areas of instruction including cybercrime investigation, human rights protection, prevention of workplace harassment, women and child safety, smart policing, and field training.

During the course, band recruits were trained in playing eight instruments.
