The Gurugram police have busted a prostitution racket being operated through the Internet and arrested a pimp involved in the criminal activity. An FIR has been registered at the Sushant Lok police station.

The suspect has been identified as Sandeep Singh Rathore of Kotputli in Rajasthan. According to the police, they received a complaint that a prostitution business was being run by Sandeep and one Pankaj Kumar through a website.

An official, posing as a costumer, called one of the women on the mobile number provided on the website. After a deal was struck at Rs 12,000, he asked her to reach a hotel where police teams had been deployed. Sandeep brought the woman to the hotel in an SUV.
He accepted the ‘fee’ from the decoy customer and sent the woman to a desginated room in the hotel, where she was arrested. Sandeep, meanwhile, was arrested during his attempt to flee. An FIR has been registered under the Immoral Traffic Act.
