Every street in Panchkula has become a garbage dumping ground. The attached picture is of Sector 6. It is deplorable that the MC, Panchkula, is sleeping over most of the issues, especially sanitisation. Public health, during this pandemic needs attention. —RP Malhotra, Panchkula
Commuters suffer due to poor condition of roads
The road near Geeta Chowk (Sector 5-6 & 7-8 roundabout) in Panchkula, speaks volumes about the poor upkeep of this widely used road, right up to the Sector 7-8 traffic signals (on NH-73) though it provides connectivity with the city’s all important Sectors. Since the commuters are the worst sufferers, the civic body should repair the potholed roads at the earliest. —Kumar Gupt, Panchkula
Public figures should take up issue of roads
There seems to be no shortage of money or funds when it comes to displaying hoardings and posters to extend personal greetings on various occasions such as Independence Day or occasions like Rakshabandhan or Janmastmi by local or aspiring political candidates in the city, but there is no one who wants to spend even a single penny on improving the condition of the roads in public interest. While almost all the main roads in the city are dotted with potholes especially after rain, these public figures should come forward to get these roads repaired in public interest. —Varun Sheokand, Faridabad
