Providing modern heathcare to Kurukshetra my priority: MP Naveen Jindal
Kurukshetra, July 21
Speaking after inaugurating a ‘mega health camp’, Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal today said providing modern healthcare facilities to the people was his priority, and he would ensure that health services are accessible to everyone in the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency.
The camp was organised by the Naveen Jindal Foundation in collaboration with Maharaja Agarsen Medical College, Agroha.
The event, held at Mahant Prabhatpuri Senior Girls’ High School, Jhansa Road, witnessed the participation of over 1,000 patients, who availed free consultations and medicines provided by the over 100 specialist doctors of the medical college present at the camp.
As per information, services spanned various medical disciplines — including general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, TB, ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry, psychiatry, physiotherapy, laboratory and pharmacy.
Jindal said, “Providing modern healthcare facilities to every household is my priority. Our goal is to ensure that no person has to suffer due to the lack of medical facilities”.
He expressed his commitment to organising such health camps across all Assembly segments of the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency to ensure that health services are accessible to everyone, irrespective of their economic status.
He would look into making services more effective in government hospitals, and would give due focus to sports facilities for children and youngsters, he added.Jindal also planted saplings at the school premises to raise awareness about environmental protection.At the camp, he thanked the team of doctors for providing free medical services to the people of Kurukshetra.
A mobile medical van was flagged off by Jindal, Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies Subhash Sudha, and Rohtak Mayor Manmohan Goyal. The van facility is geared towards rural areas, ensuring a broader access to healthcare services.
The event also witnessed voluntary blood donation by over 70 social workers, and special cancer screening arrangements by
Roko Cancer.
Former Rajya Sabha MP General (Retired) DP Vats and BJP district president Ravi Battan were among those present at the event.
