Punjab Police’s search for AAP fugitive MLA intensifies in Sriganganagar
The Punjab Police conducted a massive raid in Chak 45-RB of Padampur tehsil area in Sriganganagar district late on Thursday evening. The action was taken in search of AAP fugitive MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra from Punjab’s Sanaur Assembly constituency, who had recently escaped during a police raid from Dabri village in Karnal district, Haryana.
According to sources, Punjab Police officers and personnel in over half a dozen vehicles, accompanied by local police, reached a house in Chak 45-RB, which allegedly belongs to Pathanmajra’s distant relatives. The police suspected that the absconding MLA might be hiding in his relative’s house in the village.
During the raid, which lasted for about an hour, the police searched not only the said house but also nearby fields. However, no clue of the MLA was found, and the Punjab Police ultimately had to return empty-handed.
