Radaur gets first electric AC bus to Yamunanagar
Minister Shyam Singh Rana flags off eco-friendly service
Responding to long-standing public demand, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Shyam Singh Rana flagged off a regular electric air-conditioned bus from Radaur bus stand to Yamunanagar. The initiative is expected to provide significant relief to daily commuters.
Transport Department officials, senior BJP leaders and party workers thanked the Cabinet Minister for fulfilling the demand. Rana said the bus, starting daily at 9 am from Radaur, would make multiple trips to Yamunanagar bus stand, ensuring better connectivity and comfortable travel for passengers. Highlighting the environmental benefits, Rana stressed that electric vehicles would help reduce pollution caused by petrol and diesel engines.
“The smoke emitted by conventional vehicles not only increases expenses but also pollutes our environment. The electric buses will keep our surroundings clean and protect us from diseases caused by rising pollution,” he said. He further emphasised the growing importance of solar and electric technologies, noting that developed nations were already moving rapidly in this direction. “If we want India to emerge as a developed nation, we must adopt new technologies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the call to build a developed India by 2047, and this goal demands participation from every citizen,” Rana added.
