Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday held a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming appointments of Haryana Congress district presidents.
Gandhi held an online meeting with AICC observers appointed earlier for each district of Haryana. They have been asked to submit panels of six names each out of which a district Congress chief will be chosen.
The meeting was part of review of Haryana Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan which Rahul has launched to rejuvenate the organisation across key states.
The district Congress chiefs are to be appointed by June 30 after taking observer feedback from all Haryana districts.
A similar campaign to seek ground feedback in districts before appointment of districts Congress chiefs was held in Gujarat and the process has been completed there. Gujarat Congress districts chiefs will be appointed soon as recommendations of observers have come.
The Srijan campaign is underway in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana now.
The Haryana meeting was attended by AICC general secretary organisation KC Venugopal, AICC incharge for the state BK Hariprasad and AICC observers for Haryana Srijan campaign.
