The Chief Minister flying squad conducted a raid on fertiliser dealers’ shops in Hansi and found several irregularities. The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has issued a show-cause notice to the dealer concerned.
The team led by CM flying squad Hisar Range in-charge Sunaina, along with ASI Surender, and Subdivisional Agriculture Officer Dr Preeti Verma inspected the stock and warehouse records.
Sunaina said the team had received information that some fertiliser dealers in the Hansi area were involved in irregularities related to stock, warehouse records, and fertiliser distribution. During the inspection, records were matched with the actual stock in the presence of the shop owner and it was found that the warehouse had 248 bags of DAP fertiliser, while the POS machine record showed 238 bags, indicating 10 extra bags. The stock of 3,750 bags of urea was found to be correct.
The team also observed that fertiliser was stored together with wheat in the warehouse, which violated the storage rules. However, the stock display board was missing and the stock register was incomplete. The Agriculture Department issued a show-cause notice to the dealer in view of the irregularities detected in the stock.
Sunaina said as per government directions, all fertiliser dealers must display stock boards outside their shops and ensure that warehouse details were correctly entered in the Agriculture Department licence records. Dr Preeti said that if any fertiliser dealer was found selling fertiliser to the farmers from other districts, action would also be taken against them..
