Rail overbridge opens in Hisar

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated a railway overbridge (RoB) via virtual mode on the southern bypass near Sector 16 and 17 in the town today.
The RoB was completed at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Soni said that the construction of the overbridge started about three years ago and was completed within the deadline.
She said that the initial estimated cost of the 765m project was Rs 30.69 crore but it was completed at a cost of Rs 25.38 crore, thus saving about Rs 5 crore of the state exchequer.
The RoB will ensure smooth flow of traffic on the bypass connecting Rajgarh Road to Kaimari Road, Tosham Road, Delhi Road and Sirsa road. The DC said that 30,000 vehicles would take the RoB daily and it would ease traffic congestion in the town.
The inauguration event was organised in the mini-secretariat. It was attended by Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwal, Minister of State Anoop Dhanak and other BJP MLAs.
