Congress veteran Parliamentarian Raj Babbar has joined the Congress campaign in Gurugram.

Babbar who had unsuccessfully contested Lok Sabha elections from the city managed to garner unprecedented popularity during his short campaign and proved to be a pied-piper for Punjabi voters.

Out to harness the Babbar magic in the Assembly segments, Babbar has joined Badshahpur candidate youth leader Vardhan Yadav’s campaign. Addressing a public meeting along with Yadav, Babbar said, “Gurugram has been yearning for a change. The pitch is same as the Lok Sabha elections a clean livable city. The Congress has in Gurugram fielded young leaders like Vardhan Yadav who have a vision for tomorrow and knows the city and its problems as he himself is a common resident. This assembly election people have to vote for change for deliverables rather than fake promises,” said Babbar .

Predicting a major victory for party Babbar said that people had hinted about their intentions in Lok Sabha itself and now Vidhan Sabha would stamp their decision to oust the party.
