Rania Bar Assn elects new executive body unanimously
The elections for the Bar Associations of Punjab and Haryana are set to take place on February 28, with the official notification already issued in this regard. However, the Bar Association in Rania has once again unanimously elected their new executive for the year 2025-26, ahead of the scheduled elections.
Senior advocate Sewa Singh Sandhu was elected as the President of the Bar Association of Rania. Ram Lal appointed Vice-President, Ranjit Singh Virk re-elected as the Secretary and Lucky Josan was entrusted with the role of Joint Secretary. A key meeting of the Bar Association members took place on Thursday in the bar room, under the leadership of the outgoing president, Rinkal Banga. Many members, including advocates Sewa Singh Sandhu, Om Prakash Kaswan, Harbhej Singh Dayol, Prakashveer Jaldhra, Narendra Nain, and others, were present. During the meeting, discussions were held to form the new executive. Senior Advocate Om Prakash Kanswa suggested several names for the post of President, including Sewa Singh Sandhu, Prakashveer Jaldhra, and others.
When Sewa Singh Sandhu agreed to take on the role, the members unanimously elected him as the President for the year 2025-26.
