The Health Department, under the National Health Mission (NHM), organised a health check-up camp at Khol village, as part of the ‘Swasth Naari–Sashakt Parivaar’ campaign. Following the inauguration, both ministers reviewed the health services being provided to the public by the department. On their arrival at the camp, Civil Surgeon Dr Narendra Dahiya welcomed and felicitated the dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Rao said even after 75 years of Independence, adulteration in food and lack of nutrition had become widespread, negatively affecting people’s diets. He remarked that advances in medical science had reached a point where medicines were keeping people alive, even when nutrition was lacking.

He urged Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) to actively spread awareness about the benefits of such camps in their respective villages. Highlighting the common deficiencies found in women, especially related to iron and hemoglobin levels, Rao encouraged all women to undergo full health checkups and follow expert advice to address any health issues. The minister emphasised that women should get their hemoglobin levels checked during the campaign and consume more green leafy vegetables.

Aarti Singh Rao reiterated the Haryana Government’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services. She shared that under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivaar initiative, targeted health services were being provided to women. The camp offered free checkups and expert consultations on various health issues.
