Rao Inderjit launches projects worth Rs 100 crore in Rewari

Union Minister of State for Statistics, Planning and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh launched several urban development projects involving a total expenditure of about Rs 100 crore at the office of Municipal Council, Rewari, on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, he expressed happiness that some of these projects have been named after his great grandfather and renowned freedom fighter Rao Tularam and his father and late Chief Minister Rao Birendra Singh.

"Earlier, the projects and places were named after former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's late father Ranbir Singh and late Chief Minister of Haryana Bhagwat Dayal Sharma," the minister said.

He asserted that in the coming four years, he and the party's local MLAs would strive to bring as many development projects as possible to ensure all-round progress of Rewari district.

Rao Inderjit told the officers to ensure prompt and efficient implementation of the development projects.

"Along with public representatives, the administrative officials also have the responsibility to get the projects implemented," he said.

Rewari MLA Laxman Singh Yadav said a weekly cleanliness drive is being run in Rewari, urging the residents to participate in the campaign.

Bawal MLA Dr Krishan Kumar, Kosli MLA Anil Yadav, BJP district president Vandana Popli and Municipal Council chairperson Poonam Yadav also spoke on the occasion.

Later, the minister unveiled the statue of the emperor Prithviraj Chauhan installed at Dharchana village in Bawal block.

"The statue of Prithviraj Chauhan will inspire the youth. We should educate the younger generation about the history of the country's great warriors, revolutionaries and other prominent figures. We should inspire our youth to follow in their footsteps," said Rao Inderjit.
