Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh has emphasised that while preserving the historical heritage of Rewari’s urban area is important, the focus must also be on its improvement. He noted that just as the renovation of Solrahi and Bada Talab in the city has been successfully completed, a similar plan should now be prepared for the beautification and restoration of the city’s four historic gates.

He was speaking to officials during a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) held on Monday, where he reviewed the progress of various development schemes and issued directions concerning urban development.

He called upon both urban and rural residents, along with staff in government offices, to maintain cleanliness and work collectively towards building a better environment.

Addressing officials from urban local bodies, Rao instructed them to prepare a detailed plan for restoring and beautifying Rewari’s four historical gates — Bhadawas Gate, Gokal Gate, Kanod Gate and Delhi Gate — so that the city becomes visually appealing and culturally rich.

During the meeting, the minister conducted a department-wise review of central government schemes, underlining the government’s commitment to public service and development. He urged departmental officials to set clear goals and actively contribute to timely execution of development works.
