Rashly driven car leaves 6 people injured in Ambala

A rashly driven car left at least six people injured and several vehicles damaged late on Friday evening.

The incident happened on the Jalbhera road under the jurisdiction of Sector-9 Police Station in Ambala City.

As per information, the car hit several vehicles, including two-wheelers, and several people before it got stuck in a drain.

The car driver was detained by the police, while the injured were admitted to the Civil Hospital in Ambala City. The number of injured was expected to increase as some of them were reportedly taken to private hospitals.

Haryana DGP O P Singh, sharing details about the incident on his social media handle, informed that IG Ambala Range Pankaj Nain has been directed to reach the hospital and provide assistance to the victims.

“There is a clear policy for criminals who put the lives at risk by driving under the influence of intoxicants. There will be no bail before a year, and no sentence less than 10 years,” the DGP stated.
