Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said the annual state-level Ratnawali 2025 Festival, organised from October 28 to 31 evolved into a hands-on skill development platform for students of Kurukshetra University.
He said KU Ratnawali transformed into innovation and entrepreneurship workshop as students not only demonstrated creativity but also exhibited products across food, handicraft, art, culture, design, technology and new media.
The VC congratulated all departments, saying that Ratnawali this year not only showcased the finest glimpse of Haryana’s culture and folk spirit but also inspired the students to think boldly, innovate fearlessly and convert classroom learning into real-world entrepreneurial action.
Director, Youth Cultural Affairs, Prof Vivek Chawla said workshops and innovation zones were executed by almost every major department/institute of the university— fine arts, tourism, UIET, IMCMT, home science, IIHS, USM, IMS, English, sociology, law, environmental studies and University Model School.
Deputy Director Dr Saloni said a dedicated KU Youth Red Cross helpdesk was also established, while a KU student team developed the SGverse App during the festival.
Deputy Director, Public Relations, Dr Jimmy Sharma said the “Media Chaupal” concept and the specially curated Haryanvi News Letter drew maximum attention and emerged as the most engaging attraction points throughout the fest.
Every invited dignitary and visitor who arrived at the venue was interviewed at the Media Chaupal, and they freely shared their thoughts, opinions and cultural connect in pure Haryanvi.
