'Ratnawali Yuva Saang Mahotsav' ends at Kurukshetra’s Budha village
The four-day 10th Ratnawali Yuva Saang Mahotsav, organised at Budha Village, concluded on Monday.
The mahotsav was organised by Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, on the directions of the Department of Youth and Cultural Affairs, Kurukshetra University.
During the concluding programme, Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh said education, coupled with active participation in cultural activities, played a pivotal role in the holistic development of students.
She encouraged students to pursue their studies with dedication and integrity.
College Governing Body president Pawan Garg spoke about the significance of cultural heritage, stating that ‘saang’ (traditional Haryanvi folk dance-theatre) was an integral part of the state’s cultural legacy.
He also expressed gratitude to the villagers for their hospitality in hosting the event.
College Principal Dr Kushal Pal acknowledged the contributions of the Budha Sarpanch, former Sarpanches, and panchayat members for their efforts in organising the event at the village.
In addition to cultural events, the college inaugurated a three-day cricket competition at the college stadium.
Dr Kuldeep Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education, announced that Group A matches of the Inter-College Cricket Men’s Category for Kurukshetra University would be held from March 24th to 26th at the Indira Gandhi National College sports ground. Teams from six colleges will participate in the tournament.
