Residents of 7 Rewari villages to get 100sq-yard plots
Seven villages from different blocks of the district have been singled out to provide housing facilities to the poor and destitute under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhishek Meena held a review meeting of the district-level committee under the District Development and Panchayat Department on Wednesday.
“As many as 2,380 residents from widows, Scheduled Castes and other categories have applied from seven villages of Rewari district. The survey has been done on the spot and soon the final verification of the applicants will be done, after which further step will be taken. These villages are Dohki, Gokalgarh, Gothra Tappa Dahina, Nand Rampur Bas, Ratanthal, Pranpura and Shekhpur,” said the DC.
He said a total of 178 applicants from Dohki, 626 from Gokalgarh, 313 from Gothra Tappa Dahina, 654 from Nandrampur Bas, 160 from Ratanthal, 224 from Pranpura and 225 from Shekhpur had submitted their applications to avail the benefit of the government scheme.
At the meeting, the DC directed all Block Development and Panchayat Officers to conduct verification work with complete transparency, so that deserving applicants could be given the benefit of the scheme.Notably, the state government has taken a big initiative to make the dream of their own house come true for the poor families of the state. Under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme, the government will give 100 square yard plots to all eligible applicants deprived of land.
Similarly, under the Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme, flats will be allotted to the economically weaker section (EWS) in various districts. The implementation of the scheme will improve the standard of living of poor families and they will be able to live a safe and respectable life by building their own house, said the district spokesman.
ADC Anupama Anjali, District Revenue Officer Pradeep Deswal, Deputy CEO of Zila Parishad Ankit Chauhan and LDM Rajiv Ranjan along with development and panchayat officers and other employees of various blocks were present at the meeting.
