Residents of Sectors 4 (Extension) and 5 falling under Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and Sectors 35 and 36 under Suncity have demanded the completion of a road to connect their areas with the main city at Sheila Bypass.

“Only 640 m of the proposed road remains to be built and 550 m of it has already been acquired by the HSVP. A majority of owners of the plots/houses built on the remaining 90 m of the land have also accepted the compensation for their property. Different courts have directed the authorities to do the needful in this regard. Still, they have been dilly-dallying for years,” said Sector 4 (extension) RWA general secretary Dharambir Rathi.

“We have to cover a long distance to reach the city. If the connecting road is constructed, it would be a big relief for the residents,’ said Baljeet, a resident of Sector 5.
