Residents of Sulikhera village in Fatehabad’s Bhattu area want their middle school upgraded to a senior secondary institution. Residents protested outside the school and warned that if the government school was not upgraded, they would make it a key issue in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Currently, the government school in Sulikhera only accepts students up to Class VIII, causing significant inconvenience for students and families. Residents Rammurti Sheoran, Jitender Beniwal, Aadesh Kumar and Rammurti Fauji stated that neither the administration nor the local MLA addressed their concerns. Residents have decided to form a committee to improve education in their village, and are determined to vote only for leaders who will guarantee the school will be upgraded.

They pointed out that the school at nearby Shekhupur was previously only up to Class V, but was upgraded to a senior secondary school, with the possibility of a college opening there.
