A group of residents, mainly farmers hailing from Mohna and nearby villages, waved black flags at the vehicle of the BJP candidate from the Prithla segment over the failure of the ruling party to accept the pending demand of an access to the upcoming greenfield expressway to connect Faridabad with the International airport at Jewar in UP, passing from the Mohna village here this noon.

Ishwar Singh Numberdar, a resident of Mohna village, said the resident sitting on Dharna waved the black flags at the convoy of the BJP candidate as he failed to get the demand accepted to date. He said while the candidate had assured to get the copy of the DPR of the access to expressway by September 15, he said failure to do so made the residents to stage a protest today when the BJP candidate was passing from here.

He said the protesters (mainly farmers) have been sitting on a sit-in since October 15 last year. The ruling party leaders had been misleading the people on the issue , he claimed. However BJP candidate Tek Chand Sharma claimed that he did not face any opposition today.
