Resolve farmers’ problems: BKU (Tikait) to UHBVN
Yamunanagar, July 31
The BKU (Tikait group) has threatened the authorities of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) that if they fail to solve the problems of farmers, they will be forced to start an indefinite agitation against the power utility from August 5. Subhash Gurjar, district president of the BKU, said the farmers were facing a number of problems related to issuance of tubewell connections, increase the load of transformers, etc.
He said officials of the UHBVN at Yamunanagar didn’t take any interest in solving the problems faced by farmers. “Farmers shall assemble at the office of SE of the UHBVN on August 5. If their problems are not solved, they will start an indefinite agitation,” said Gurjar. — TNS
