As per the data of the Civil Hospital, there has been a notable increase in patients suffering from cold and cough as their number has doubled in the past one week.

Previously, the hospital saw around 40 to 50 cases of respiratory illness on a daily basis, but the recent surge has led the number to over 100 cases per day. The situation is almost the same at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, which is witnessing the influx of such patients, putting additional pressure on the existing healthcare facilities and resources.
