The work to build modern revenue record rooms at all district headquarters will be completed by November 15. About 97.94 per cent of the total documents have been digitised till date. This was stated by Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, while presiding over a review meeting of SVAMITVA scheme with the DCs via video conferencing, here today.

Kaushal said the work to digitise century-old revenue records was being executed at a fast pace. Under this project, more than 18.70 crore documents, some dating back to before 1870, were being scanned, catalogued, and put in a digital box, so they could be easily retrieved when needed. The modern revenue record rooms would ensure fast and convenient access to the data, he said.
