The differences between BJP leaders have come to light once again after the supporters of Cabinet minister Anil Vij expressed displeasure with former minister of state Aseem Goel visiting the house of former district treasurer Ashish Tayal recently.

Vij had accused Tayal of working against him in the last Assembly elections.

As per information, the former BJP MLA from the Ambala City Assembly constituency reached Ambala Cantonment to meet Tayal at his residence, and Tayal shared a picture of their meeting on social media.

Vij's supporters took to social media, saying that the meeting had hurt the sentiments of the party’s loyal workers.

Soon after, Goel's supporters took to social media to respond to the criticism. They said their sentiments were also hurt when they saw Goel's opponents meeting the Cabinet minister.

Though both senior leaders are staying out of this controversy, their supporters continue to engage in a war of words.

Meanwhile, BJP Ambala incharge Dharm Veer Mirzapur said the matter was yet to be brought to his notice. “If there is any such issue, I will talk to the BJP district president and the mandal presidents. Such things are not good for the party. We recently held a couple of meetings in Ambala for upcoming events. We will ensure that all issues are resolved and workers work to further strengthen the party base,” he added.

Vij's name not on list

Speaking to the media regarding his name not being included in the list of MLAs and ministers who were allotted different Assembly constituencies recently, Vij said, “I am not displeased, no one can be a bigger devotee of the BJP than me. For 42 Assembly constituencies, one person each has been assigned, but I am the senior most MLA of the BJP in Haryana. I have won the Assembly elections seven times, no one else would have won even half as many. That is why I look at entire Haryana and workers call me from all over the state.”
