Terming the language being used by protesting farmers against the state government and its leaders ‘condemnable’, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said in a democracy, everyone has the right to raise his/her voice but stern action would be taken against those who cross the limit and indulge in violence.
Khattar was interacting with the media after addressing party workers’ meet here today. “Opposition parties are behind the farmers’ protest to serve their political interests. They are not farmers’ well-wishers, but are damaging their interests as three farm laws are in their favour,” he added.
The CM visited the AIIMS project proposed site at Majra village. “The issue pertaining to the availability of land has been resolved as villagers have offered as much land as required for the project. The process to buy the land will be initiated soon,” Khattar added.
Later, Congress MLA Chiranjeev Rao submitted a memorandum to the CM, demanding execution of the AIIMS project at the earliest, solution to effluents being released by Rajasthan units at Dharuhera and recarpeting of all potholed roads.
At Narnaul, Khattar announced to develop Dhosi Hill as a tourist destination by providing facilities there. He also said the work on a medical college in Koriavass village would be completed next year and the admissions would start in 2023.
Youth raises Slogans against farm laws
Narnaul: A local youth raised slogans against three farm laws when Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was speaking from the dais. He was immediately overpowered by the police, who took him out of the venue. The man, belonging to the Nangal Choudhary region, was shouting ‘Take back black laws’.TNS
