Rlys to examine Rohtak-Hisar route for superfast train
Union Ministry of Railways has instructed the directorate concerned to carry out a detailed examination for running a superfast train between Rohtak and Hisar.
The action follows a letter written by Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in this regard.
Vaishnaw has written to the MP that the directorate concerned had been instructed to carry out a detailed examination for running the superfast train. “I had written to the Railways Minister about the need and necessity to run a superfast train between Rohtak and Hisar. He has acknowledged my suggestion and issued the necessary instructions in this regard. I hope that the train service will start soon,” said Hooda.
The Congress leader maintained the introduction of a new superfast train on the Rohtak-Hisar route would contribute to economic, educational and commercial development of the region.
“A large number of passengers, including students, and businessmen travel on this route everyday. The existing rail services on this route are limited, causing inconvenience to the passengers. Introduction of a superfast train on this route will not only improve rail connectivity, but will also provide a new dimension to the economy,” the MP said.
