Rohtak administration to transform Ismaila as model village
Agenda prepared under ‘Admn in your village’ initiative
The district administration has announced that it will transform Ismaila village into a model village under its the “Administration in your village” initiative for which a 10-point model village agenda has been prepared.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that the district administration would ensure the provision of all basic amenities, including water, electricity and roads, at Ismaila village. He said all issues faced by the villagers would be resolved on a priority basis and emphasised that the administration was fully committed to the overall development of the area.
“The administration will take every possible step to provide clean drinking water to every household. Old and damaged water pipelines will be replaced. The villagers have been asked to obtain only authorised water connections through the Public Health Engineering Department to prevent water contamination,” said the DC.
He also mentioned that the Department of Development and Panchayats would soon begin the construction of the village perimetre road (phirni) and set up a proper drainage system. Strict action and fines would be imposed on anyone found discharging sewage or toilet waste at unauthorised locations, he added.
The DC urged the villagers to use electricity responsibly and refrain from any form of power theft. “Special attention will be given to improve sports and recreational facilities for the youth,” he added.
