Rohtak, June 15
Kajal Nehra, the daughter of a farmer of Nindana, the native village of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, has topped in the state in Class XII exams of the Board of School Education, Haryana, the results of which were declared today.
Kajal, who has scored 498 marks out of 500 in humanities stream, has been a bright and laborious student and had secured second position in Class X as well.
Kajal attributes her achievement to her school teachers, parents and self-study. She is passionate about joining the Army.
“I owe my success to my teachers and parents. I want to join the Army as it enables one to serve the nation. The uniform of Army officers fascinates me,” says Kajal.
The girl has seen her parents struggle for their livelihood and helps them with their work. Both her parents are school dropouts.
Kajal’s father Rawat Nehra, who owns some agricultural land, works hard on the fields to make ends meet.
Kajal’s mother Guddi is also elated at the grand success of her daughter. She says that Kajal helps her in domestic chores and also supports her father in farming.
