The two-day Annual Conference of the Association of Neurosurgeons of North West Zone organised by department of neuro surgery at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHS) commenced with experts from various states contemplating over latest research and techniques being used in neuro-related diseases.

Rohtak PGIMS Director Dr SS Lohchab, while inaugurating the conference as the chief guest, said in such conferences, doctors got an opportunity to be updated about a new technology in their field, so all departments should keep themselves updated by organising such conferences from time to time.

Dr Kuldeep Singh Lallar, Dean, Academic Affairs (PGIMS), and Dr Ashok Chauhan, Dean, Academic Affairs (UHS) spoke about the ultramodern facilities being provided at the department of neurosurgery at the PGIMS. Dr Ishwar Singh, organising secretary and Medical Superintendent of the PGIMS, said a workshop on brainstem death was also organised in the conference which was being attended by 90 experts from various states.
