The Rotary Club of Jagadhri (North) organised a three-day camp to donate artificial limbs, tricycles, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, sticks and hearing aids to those in need, completely free of charge. A total of 150 beneficiaries received various pieces of equipment tailored to their requirements.

“Rotary Club is a non-governmental organisation with a presence in over 200 countries worldwide. All Rotary clubs operate under the motto ‘Service Above Self,’ meaning that one must prioritise serving society before oneself,” said Ajay Garg Ambalika, project chairman for the camp.

Garg also shared that the club recently planted 50 trees at the Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir in Bilaspur, Yamunanagar district. Additionally, the club has adopted 21 underprivileged girls to cover their educational expenses. Other initiatives previously carried out by the club include free medical check-up camps and the construction of toilets for girls.

The success of the camp was the result of the collective efforts of the club’s president, Dr Shikha, secretary Jarnail Sing.
