Rs 1.89-cr development works to be initiated in Yamunanagar

Yamunanagar & Jagadhri civic body will carry out development works worth Rs 1.89 crore in ward numbers 11, 15 and 18.

Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) will construct streets, drains, dharamshala and carry out other development works in these wards.

Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, Mayor Suman Bahamani and senior BJP leader Nepal Rana laid foundation stones of development works.

The MLA and mayor laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 81.13 lakh in ward number 15 in the presence of municipal councillor Manu Singla and projects worth Rs 18.90 lakh in ward numbers.

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana’s son and BJP leader Nepal Rana laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 73.32 lakh in Aurangabad and Rs 15.97 lakh in Mandebar village in the presence of municipal councillor Ujjwal Singh Thakur.

The mayor directed officials to pay special attention to the quality of development works. “Our main objective is to provide facilities to citizens of every ward falling within civic body. Development works are being done in every ward without any discrimination. Efforts are being made to provide all basic facilities to citizens of all wards,” said Mayor Suman Bahamani.

“Several big projects have been started in twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri and the rural areas falling under the MCYJ. Streets and drains are being constructed in every ward, so that people get an easy way,” said MLA Arora.

Rana said the Haryana Government was working in public interest.

“By starting several welfare schemes, a number of people are being benefited by the government. The main purpose of the government is to serve people through welfare schemes,” said Rana.
