Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today announced that Rs 150 crore would be transferred to the accounts of approximately 70,000 verified beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) by March 20.

Responding to a question by MLA Shishpal Keharwala during the ongoing budget session of the Vidhan Sabha, Saini said, “Under the scheme, 70,000 beneficiaries have registered on the portal, and these have been verified by the department. The funds will be transferred by March 20.”

Meanwhile, Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao assured that 501 vacant nursing officer posts would be filled soon, with a request already sent to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. “Apart from these, vacant doctor posts will also be filled soon. Class IV vacancies will be addressed through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam,” she said. Rao also noted that 3,192 out of 3,969 medical officer posts and 425 out of 644 senior medical officer posts are currently filled, with recruitment efforts underway.

Addressing traffic congestion and toll tax issues on the Gurugram-Faridabad and Faridabad-Sohna roads, Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa defended the toll rates, saying, “The tolls are being collected as per the government’s approved rates, but they will end once the 17-year-old MoU expires next year.” Gurugram MLA Rao Narbir Singh supported the concerns, calling the roads a "traffic bottleneck" and urging the government to find a solution for smoother traffic flow.

Energy, Labour and Transport Minister Anil Vij outlined a plan to relocate overhead power lines posing risks to residential areas. “In Mahendragarh constituency alone, 163 locations have been identified where electricity wires pass above houses. The proposal has been approved, and the work will be completed within six months,” he stated.
