Haryana Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad today said Rs 2.64 crore will be allocated for procuring advanced equipment to bolster the state’s disaster management infrastructure.
The Chief Secretary chaired a meeting of the State-Level Executive Committee on Disaster Management. He emphasised the need for a robust disaster management system, which included incorporating the latest equipment to minimise loss of life and property during emergencies.
In addition to acquiring modern and advanced equipment, district-level Disaster Management Force Committees will be trained to handle emergencies proficiently. A State-Level Executive Committee of the Haryana State Disaster Response Force has been established for the purchase of various types of equipment during the fiscal year 2024-25. This committee will also review available disaster management equipment and train personnel involved in emergency response. — TNS
