Rs 1L reward for info on Panipat acid attackers
Panipat, November 4
The police on Wednesday announced Rs 1 lakh reward for any information about the alleged accused in an acid attack case in Rajiv Colony on October 26.
A police spokesperson said the information could be given on the mobile numbers- 705600111, 705600112 and 7056000402 of CIA-1, CIA-2 and CIA-3 unit in-charges, respectively. The identity of the informer would be kept secret, he said.
Poonam, 37, of Rajiv Colony was on her way back home after her job at a textile factory in Deshraj Colony when she was attacked by two bike-borne youths.
The police had registered a case against the two unidentified persons under sections 326-A and 34 of the IPC.
The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed nearby in which the two masked men were seen waiting for Poonam and when she came, they threw acid on her and fled. The police have failed to make any headway in the case.— TNS
