Saini, Guv to pay homage to former CM at Chautala village; massive crowd expected
A massive crowd is expected at the Chaudhary Sahib Ram Stadium in Chautala village tomorrow, as people come together to pay tributes to former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala.
Extensive preparations have been made to accommodate the large turnout, including the installation of a massive waterproof canopy to shield attendees from the cold weather. Thousands of workers are busy preparing food, with special arrangements for fresh jalebis, brought in from Gohana by renowned sweet makers.
According to available information, Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Saini and Governor Bandaru Dattatreya are expected to attend the event.
Sandeep Chaudhary, leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), shared details about the upcoming event. He highlighted that the memorial service on December 31 would honour the legacy of Om Prakash Chautala, a stalwart of Haryana politics. Chautala, a five-time Chief Minister, was known for his bold leadership, commitment to farmers, and deep understanding of the state's needs. He was also the son of Chaudhary Devi Lal, a former Deputy Prime Minister of India, but carved his own path in the political arena.
The tribute event is expected to see a massive turnout, with people from across Haryana coming to pay homage to the late leader, who continues to have a significant influence on the region. The Chautala family is making extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Meanwhile, several prominent figures have already paid their respects. On Monday, Namdhari sect leader Satguru Uday Singh visited Teja Khera village to offer his tribute. Former INLD leader and current Congress member, Professor Sampat Singh, BJP leader and former wrestler Babita Phogat also visited Teja Khera to express condolences.
