Saini unveils development roadmap for state after completing 100 days in office
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini outlined his government’s development roadmap on completing 100 days in office. Key initiatives include the establishment of 10 ultra-modern industrial towns, modelled after IMT Kharkhoda and generating 25,000 MW of electricity through renewable energy to power industrial centres.
Highlights
10 industrial towns: Modelled after IMT Kharkhoda
Renewable energy push: 25,000 MW to power industrial hubs
Land for poor: 4,533 plots allocated to families
Jobs initiative: Two lakh government jobs based on merit
Ayushman Bharat: ₹200 crore pending for hospitals to be released soon
The government also plans to set up state-of-the-art sewerage treatment plants in Panipat, Faridabad and Gurugram to address environmental challenges from industrial waste.
In addition, the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Narnaul/Mahendragarh will be expedited and an integrated textile market in Ambala will be developed under the PM MITRA scheme. The state will also establish a Defence and Aerospace Hub in Mahendragarh through the PPP model and create a 10,000-acre land bank via the e-Bhoomi portal.
The Chief Minister announced that 18 of the 240 promises made in the Sankalp Patra had been fulfilled, with work underway on six more. Administrative and financial sanctions for 50 additional projects are being processed.
To support farmers, Saini digitally transferred Rs 368 crore into their bank accounts. "While the Congress has only done politics in the name of farmers, the BJP has always worked to empower them," he said.
Saini also highlighted the government’s commitment to providing 1 lakh poor families with plots — 100 square yards in villages and 50 square yards in Mahagrams. So far, 4,533 plots have been allocated across 61 gram panchayats and one Mahagram.
He added that 2 lakh government jobs would be provided based on merit without any “kharchi-parchi,” with preparations underway for the CET exam through the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
Referring to Opposition leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Saini quipped, “Even while sitting at home, Hooda praises the government’s development initiatives.”
Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government has released Rs 760 crore to private hospitals, with another Rs 200 crore to be disbursed soon.
